Organize, Work, Sick, Teach and Treats

May 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Today my mom and I organized my pantry. We took EVERYTHING out of it, and we, I mean she scrubbed the shelves. Everything has a place again. I told the family you must put things back in the right place and no sticky or flour covered items allowed! It took all morning. I even got all the stray recipes into my recipe binder. I had them from friends, magazines, Internet, handouts, etc. I discovered some really good ones that I need to try and some I made only once and didn’t know where the recipe had gone!

Jason took the day off work and put up insulation in the basement. He was coughing like crazy. I told him he needed to wear a mask, and his response was he could wear goggles or a mask but not both. So he decided to save his eyes instead of his lungs. The basement is coming along. My parents are serious workers.

Then I got sick, yeah! I haven’t felt sick in about a week and it hit pretty hard in the afternoon and evening. Jason threw some steak on the grill and fries in the oven while I tried to rest because I teach my water aerobics class on Thursdays. I haven’t taught water aerobics in several weeks and my class said they missed me! I had to take it a little easy and not be so energetic, but it was a good class I think. Jason helped some people move after dinner. Jason’s gone to the store for blueberries so he can make some blueberry buckle dessert thing and we are going to watch Survivor. I just came back to update this post and realized I didn’t publish it last night I only saved it! Anyway, blueberries were too expensive-so we had a yummy apple crisp with granny smith and mackintosh apples a la mode and Swedish vanilla sauce on top.

Be sure to read the previous post because you might have been tagged by me and have an assignment for your own blog!
